Reading List: Big Thinking for Business

In the day-to-day of business, ideas come thick and fast. You feel good, ready for the challenge, inspired to act. Perhaps you make a self-satisfied scribble on a post-it note. What happens? Sadly not a lot, most of the time. There’s so much “day-to-day” to be done and simply not enough time. 

What about the bigger ideas? Those that you feel could really revolutionise your business. How do you encourage innovation without affecting productivity? How do you justify spending time and money on a project that ultimately remains an ambition?

Paul Dawson’s post for Fluxx “Labs: breaking through business as usual to spin up new ideas” certainly set our cogs turning this week. There is, of course, a physical place for innovation but brands such as John Lewis will confirm, it's the approach that really matters.
